Groundbreaking Ceremony
The groundbreaking ceremony on July 28, 2025, was attended by key officials, including Azzan Al Busaidi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism for Tourism, and representatives from the Dhofar Municipality. The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development was represented by Rashid Al Kaabi, Executive Director of the Investment Sector, and Mohammed Al Hamedi, Technical and Admin Support Manager.
Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of ADFD, emphasized the project’s role in fostering sustainable growth and strengthening UAE-Oman ties. “This development testifies to the strategic partnership between our nations and will have a lasting impact on the region’s tourism sector,” he stated.
Azzan Al Busaidi highlighted the project’s significance in enhancing local capabilities. “This complex will integrate small and medium enterprises, provide hospitality training, and elevate Dhofar’s global tourism profile,” he said.
