Kerten Hospitality, a global lifestyle operator specializing in community-centric destinations, is broadening its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the unveiling of the Cloud 7 Al Murjan Island Resort in Dammam’s Eastern Province waterfront.

This new resort development is part of Al Murjan Island, a visionary mixed-use project designed by Zuhair Fayez Partnership under the leadership of Dr. Zuhair Hamed Fayez, a leading figure in Saudi architecture with five decades of experience shaping the country’s built environment. The development blends hospitality, leisure, entertainment, and wellness into a single waterfront destination.

Cloud 7 Al Murjan Island Resort will feature 74 overwater chalets, marking one of the region’s most distinctive coastal hospitality concepts. This innovative accommodation style adds a unique appeal to Saudi Arabia’s hospitality landscape by introducing luxury living over water, a first for the area.

Additionally, the resort will host Nyssa Beach, a dedicated ladies-only beach club. Nyssa Beach offers a comprehensive range of wellness amenities, including a spa, fitness facilities, elegant salon services, and specially curated social and workspaces. This venue is designed to serve and empower the women’s community in Dammam, aligning with contemporary lifestyle trends and social inclusivity.

Marwan Al Qaydy, CEO of Koushan Real Estate Development Company, highlighted the development’s significance, stating that Al Murjan Island is a defining milestone, bringing to life one of Dammam’s most iconic mixed-use destinations. As a self-contained island, it is positioned as a vibrant hub combining hospitality, entertainment, lifestyle, and leisure on a world-class waterfront.

The partnership with Kerten Hospitality is focused on providing top-tier quality and guest-centric service to set a new hospitality benchmark in the Eastern Province.

Marloes Knippenberg, CEO of Kerten Hospitality, described Al Murjan Island as a purposeful destination that aligns closely with their vision for the Kingdom’s hospitality sector. She emphasized that the collaboration with Koushan Real Estate Development is aimed at creating a place where creativity, culture, and meaningful experiences reflect the local spirit. The introduction of the Cloud 7 brand to Dammam signals an important step in Kerten Hospitality’s expansion across Saudi Arabia.

Knippenberg also noted the rapid transformation of Saudi Arabia’s hospitality industry and expressed pride in contributing to this momentum. The Cloud 7 Al Murjan Island Resort is positioned as a significant milestone within the Kingdom’s broader national growth trajectory.

The overall development underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to diversifying its economy and enhancing its tourism and hospitality offerings in line with Vision 2030 goals. By fostering innovative hospitality concepts such as overwater chalets and women-centric leisure spaces, the Cloud 7 Al Murjan Island Resort aims to attract both domestic and international visitors seeking premium coastal experiences.
