AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company specializing in full-stack AI solutions, have announced the formation of a joint venture to establish Saudi Arabia as a global leader in AI infrastructure.

The joint venture is set to commence operations in 2026, combining HUMAIN’s advanced data centers with cutting-edge technology from AMD and Cisco. This partnership aims to deliver modern, energy-efficient data center capacity that reduces capital expenditure while supporting AI growth in the region.

The joint venture will focus on developing up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of AI infrastructure by 2030. The companies have outlined the first phase of this project as the buildout of 100 megawatts (MW) of AI infrastructure. This initial phase will integrate HUMAIN’s state-of-the-art data center capacity with AMD’s Instinctâ„¢ MI450 Series GPUs and Cisco’s leading critical infrastructure technology.

Both AMD and Cisco will serve as exclusive technology partners, providing their full range of products and services to optimize the joint venture’s offerings.

This collaboration builds on an earlier 2025 initiative where Cisco and AMD partnered with HUMAIN to develop one of the world’s most open, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective AI infrastructures. The formation of the joint venture marks a significant step forward in accelerating digital transformation and providing an efficient AI infrastructure that supports diverse AI deployments for regional and global customers.

The goal of the joint venture aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to power its AI-driven economy by fostering advanced technological capabilities and infrastructure. The integration of world-class data centers with innovative GPU and network technology positions Saudi Arabia to serve as a key provider of AI solutions in the Middle East and beyond.

This joint venture between AMD, Cisco, and HUMAIN represents a strategic investment in Saudi Arabia’s AI infrastructure development, aiming to build up to 1 GW of capacity by 2030, with an initial phase focused on 100 MW. This move not only enhances the Kingdom’s technological ecosystem but also anchors its ambition to lead in AI innovation regionally and worldwide.
