Aljada construction contracts have been awarded by real estate developer Arada for the next phase of its Aljada project in Sharjah. The company announced contracts worth more than AED2 billion to build 14 residential buildings in the large mixed-use community.

The contracts cover the construction of 2,210 apartments across new residential buildings within the Aljada development. The homes will range from one-bedroom to four-bedroom units and will include built-in smart home features, which are standard across many residential projects developed by Arada.

Contractors selected for residential buildings

The work has been split between two contractors. China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group will build ten apartment blocks located within key residential areas of the development.

The remaining four buildings, known as The Gate blocks, will be constructed by Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al Kharafi & Sons. These buildings are planned near the southern entrances of the community. Construction on all 14 buildings is expected to take about 26 months. Once completed, the new buildings will add more housing options within the growing community.

Delivery planned for 2028

Arada said the residential buildings are scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2028. The project will add more than 2,200 homes to the expanding Aljada development.

Aljada is one of the largest urban developments in Sharjah. The master-planned community spans about 24 million square feet and is designed to include residential neighbourhoods, commercial spaces, retail areas, schools and entertainment facilities.

Continued development of the Aljada project

Aljada construction contracts are part of the continued development of the project as Arada expands housing supply in Sharjah. The developer has been releasing new residential phases in the community as construction progresses across the site.

Several completed residential clusters are already occupied, while work continues on additional buildings and supporting infrastructure. The latest contracts will contribute to the next stage of housing delivery within the Aljada master-planned community.
