The heavy equipment industry in the Mid-Atlantic region is entering a new phase of growth after Core Equipment Group officially acquired GT Mid Atlantic LLC. The deal expands Core Equipment Group’s operations across several states and strengthens its role as an authorized dealer for CASE Construction Equipment. The acquisition also brings new investment, upgraded facilities, and expanded support for construction customers across the region.
Core Equipment Group Completes GT Mid Atlantic Acquisition
Core Equipment Group confirmed that an affiliate of LB Advisors LLC acquired all assets and employees of GT Mid Atlantic LLC on February 27, 2026. The acquisition was completed through LB GTMA Opco LLC, according to the official company announcement.
The deal allows Core Equipment Group to expand its heavy equipment business throughout New Jersey, Delaware, central and eastern Maryland, and the greater Philadelphia area in Pennsylvania. The company now operates eight locations across the Mid-Atlantic region.
Core Equipment Group continues to serve as an authorized dealer for CASE Construction Equipment. The company provides equipment sales, rentals, parts, and maintenance services for contractors and construction businesses.
Investment Supports Future Growth
The acquisition is backed by LB Advisors, a California-based private equity firm focused on middle-market businesses. Company leaders said the partnership will help strengthen operations and support future expansion plans.
Harald Ludwig, Co-Founder of LB Advisors, said the company looks forward to supporting the management team and working closely with CASE Construction Equipment and other manufacturing partners. Russell Belinsky, another Co-Founder of LB Advisors, stated that the business is well-positioned for long-term growth with support from lending and financial partners.
The company did not disclose the financial value of the acquisition.
New Farmingdale Facility Planned
As part of the expansion, Core Equipment Group announced plans to open a new flagship facility in Farmingdale, New Jersey, in May 2026. The company currently operates from Freehold, New Jersey, but plans to move to the larger Farmingdale location to improve operations and customer service.
Company officials said the new facility will offer more space for equipment displays, service operations, and parts inventory. The company also plans to modernize additional locations across its network over time.
Roadbuilding Division Remains Important
Core Equipment Group confirmed that its roadbuilding division will continue operating throughout the region. The company stated that equipment brands, including Astec, Etnyre/BearCat, Sakai, and Midland, will remain part of its product lineup.
Executives said the company will continue focusing on customer support, equipment reliability, and long-term relationships with contractors and infrastructure companies.
Core Equipment Group traces its regional operations back to 1958 through predecessor businesses. With the acquisition of GT Mid Atlantic, the company is expanding its footprint while preparing for continued growth in the Mid-Atlantic construction equipment market.
